Our Barruguet

Barruguet is a playful, naughty dwarf who lives on Ibiza and has a fantastic imagination that he uses for playing and living. This is the philosophy which Carme Ferrusola, founder of the Group, based her business on when she decided to open a toyshop in Terrassa in 1968.

At that time, there were practically no educational toys on the market. Since the new direction in schooling demanded the use of toys in teaching, Barruguet –with the help of parents, teachers and educators– developed its own line, totally specialised in educational toys.

Throughout its 38 years of existence, Barruguet has worked to offer toys, taking into account the needs of the moment, renewing ideas and searching around the world for quality play articles with educational value. There are currently 3 Barruguet shops, two in Terrassa and one in Barcelona. The challenge for the coming years is to open its own shops in the large cities.

The specialist staff advise and direct the customer with great care so that their little ones can have the maximum fun. Imagination and magic to stimulate children aged 0 to 12, contributing to their education with toys that are suitable for every age and every stage of children’s development.

The avant-garde decoration of the Barruguet shops and the extensive display area make them surprising places. The toys are arranged in theme areas which make children keen to play and allow all the products to be enjoyed.
